    Lean Six sigma Black Belt (LSSBB)

    Overview

    Six Sigma Black Belt is a professional who can explain Six Sigma philosophies and principles, including supporting systems and tools. A Black Belt should demonstrate team leadership, understand team dynamics and assign team member roles and responsibilities. Black Belts have a thorough understanding of all aspects of the DMAIC model in accordance with Six Sigma principles. They have basic knowledge of Lean enterprise concepts, are able to identify non-value-added elements and activities and are able to use specific tools.

    Objective

    Black Belts are at the core of every Six Sigma implementation. Motorola used the term "Black Belt" to describe "an individual who has developed a synergistic proficiency between his or her technical discipline and the Six Sigma strategies, tactics, and tools. These individuals will continually work towards institutionalizing the effective use of these tools throughout the corporation, its clients, and its suppliers."

    Overview

    This course discusses the analytical tools that are used to measure and evaluate project performance. The course focuses on the skills and tools required for defining, measuring, analyzing, improving and controlling project processes. It discusses the Six Sigma approach for improvement and examines how it can be applied to various project activities. To facilitate project effectiveness, you will be taught how to identify significant performance gaps and how to use those gaps to generate potential projects. You will also learn how to properly define, scope, and present projects to peers and managers. We will also provide guidance on transitioning and closing out existing projects.

    Objective

    The essential objective of this course is to train an individual regarding requirements of the Six Sigma methodology. DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) & application of the class room training on one of the selected practice improvement project.

    Who Should Attend

    The Six Sigma Green Belt operates in support of or under the supervision of a Six Sigma Black Belt, analyzes and solves quality problems and is involved in quality improvement projects.      Taguchi’s Method

    Overview

     Taguchi Method is a new engineering design optimization methodology that improves the quality of existing products and processes and simultaneously reduces their costs very rapidly, with minimum engineering resources and development man-hours. The Taguchi Method achieves this by making the product or process performance "insensitive" to variations in factors such as materials, manufacturing equipment, workmanship and operating conditions. Taguchi method makes the product or process robust and therefore is also called as ROBUST DESIGN.
